Marie Korde attended the Blue Earth Summit yesterday and had the opportunity to judge the Top 10 Seed Companies from the BE100 alongside Pippa Dunn, Roger Wade and Anthony Chant. There were many thought provoking and inspiring panels including from four time Formula 1 World Champion, Sebastian Vettel, sharing his thoughts on the climate crisis and the importance of driving change. Deborah Meaden also inspired with her thoughts on business paving the way for politics to step up the pace to create a better and more sustainable world. Two Magnolias Venture Capital Co-Founders, Jessica Sue Rasmussen DipWSET and Marie Korde attended the Department for Business and Trade Female Founders Pitch Event on Monday, showcasing high growth UK based companies founded by women. A huge thank you to Paul Morris and Aekta Mahajan Patel for putting together such a talented set of founders and impressive companies. And thank you to Debbie Wosskow, OBE for an inspiring and motivating opening speech. We are excited to be working towards the same goal of increasing the proportion of equity capital investment going to female founders, and unlocking the £250bn in new economic value for the UK economy that could be realised if women in the UK started and scaled businesses at the same rate as men.
