Our Employment expert Gemma Sherbourne gives the details of the recent ruling from Leeds Employment Tribunal on #EqualPay for retail/warehouse workers. NEXT had sought to argue that it had a ‘material factor’ defence to the difference in pay...the Tribunal has now concluded that it did not have such a defence. I had a lovely guest with me on Friday from Tyr Nigel Brook who is the President of Leeds Law Society 2024/25. Nigel delivered two special Katie Bears, medals and certificates to two children recovering from open heart surgery. It was lovely to speak to the parents and see the smiles on the children's faces, but I was most impressed with Nigel's knowledge on Paw Patrol!
