#ICYMI #USPACECOM leaders welcomed Italian Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone, Chair of the NATO Military Committee, and NATO Military Committee reps to the command’s headquarters. The visit was part of a larger engagement to meet with senior military space officials across Colorado Springs to enhance the Alliance’s understanding of space as an operational domain.   “The current strategic environment requires international cooperation in space. Like Gen. Whiting often says, 'space is a team sport.' Having representatives from the NATO Military Committee here at USSPACECOM and in Colorado Springs this week, emphasizes NATO’s commitment to upholding their responsibilities to readiness, deterrence, and warfighter effectiveness across the Alliance,” said Maj. Borealis - a £65 million control and data processing system - has been announced by Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S). Borealis will be used by military and civilian staff working across the National Space Operations Centre. It will underpin the UK's awareness of what's happening in orbit around the Earth. https://lnkd.in/ejBiskZJ

Major General Paul Tedman, Commander of UK Space Command, joined Dr Paul Bate, CEO of the UK Space Agency, for their CEO's monthly briefing. While he was at the Harwell Science and Innovation Campus, he had a chance to visit Astroscale, Open Cosmos, the Satellite Applications Catapult, and the National Satellite Testing Facility.

The UK National Space Operations Centre monitored the re-entry of a Falcon 9 rocket body launched in 2025, which was seen from the UK re-entering this morning. 🌍 We tracked over 100 re-entering space objects in January to help keep the UK safe. UK Space Command
