Thank you to everyone who joined and engaged in the UK Humanitarian Innovation Hub and The Royal College of Surgeons of England webinar on reshaping and advancing safe and accessible surgery yesterday. I absolutely loved co-chairing this event! A big thank you to our panellists and speakers Marc DuBois Darren Walter Mohana Amirtharajah and Tigist Belete for sharing their insights and experiences from across the globe, shedding light on the urgent need to strengthen surgical capacity in low-resource and conflict settings. We continue to remember and honor one of ours, Dr. Ahmed Almaqadma, whose dedication to his work and making a difference in Gaza inspires us. His memory is a reminder of why these efforts are so essential. I’m hopeful that the conversations we started will grow and drive meaningful change in humanitarian surgery, supporting communities and healthcare providers on the front lines. #humanitariansurgery #globalhealth #globalsurgery Mai Seida ( Mai Attia) Adrienne Testa

It’s our penultimate day at the NetHope Global Summit in Washington DC! We’ve been listening to Liz Chamberlain, Acting Co-Executive Director of Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team about how they work within the #humanitarian and development ecosystem.
