If we were a funeral director, what would we do with our marketing? This is one of our less outrageous campaign ideas as we wanted to stay sensitive which weirdly made it really tricky! We'd keep the look and feel of the marketing super simple with a focus on genuine care and support for families going through the grieving process. One of the difficulties is that everyone grieves differently and to their own time frame - there's no knowing how you might react so by keeping the messaging kind and careful whilst using simplistic imagery, hopefully regardless of how people are coping they will find comfort and consistency with the brand. Today we wanted to pull back the curtain to re-introduce the driving forces behind the scenes. Chris Bentley, the founder and face of NOTWORKING, is the social butterfly of the group. I promise I’m not bored, it’s just my voice I don’t know how to change it. Today we wanted to share some easy ways to keep your stories on-brand so that when your followers are tapping through all their stories, you become a little more noticeable. First is to create some in Canva that are ready to. This is an easy way of quickly matching all the colours and fonts you need, and is also the best way of making sure you have stories to post every day because you can plan them ahead of time. Second, how to change the background colour when sharing a post if you don’t like the ones that Instagram decided to give you. Sometimes Insta will pick out a less than favourable colour or make it an odd gradient that doesn’t match your vibe, so make it your own by selecting you colour through the ‘draw’ tool and then holding your finger down on the background. Last, this is a little trick we use to match the colours if we just want to draw or add text to a photo. Make your own colour palette in Canva that you can upload to your story for the purpose of eye-dropping your colours, then just remember to remove it before you post it and you’ve got a perfectly (subtly) branded story!
