Unum UK attended the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme Gold Awards earlier this month at the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard. The presentation for the South-East region took place aboard HMS Warrior. We’re one of just 19 recipients of the Gold Award in our region, which recognises the support we offer through our organisation to the #ArmedForces community and veterans. #WorldMenopauseDay falls on October 18th every year. This year, the day has spurred calls from the health and protection industry for more support for those experiencing #menopause. The article highlights the £11 billion cost to the UK economy of gynaecological concerns and the critical need for more support for people going through menopause.
