We recently held a training day for the Uplands Tesco team, it was fantastic to gather everyone in one place for a productive session focused on Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ), upskilling and compliance. There was great interaction throughout the day as we discussed innovation, client portals, industry trends, and the BR PD. This manager training also follows our Supplier Day that took place in February. We are excited about the energy and passion we have for the year ahead!

Recently competed project in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire. Over 20 weeks we worked with Food Service Logistics to fit-out a shell warehouse, compromising of a new 44000 sq ft chiller, a 4000 sq ft freezer, colleagues welfare block, VNA (Very Narrow Aisle) racking, sprinkler installation and associated mechanical & electrical services. A very enjoyable project to have delivered, and we’d like to say a big thanks to all involved.

Did you know? There are still over 5’000 asbestos-related disease deaths per year in the UK. Asbestos-related diseases have a long latency period, with symptoms typically appearing decades after exposure. In Mid Feb we completed the Store Enhancement scheme at ASDA Castlepoint. The store has benefited from re-decoration, all new model signage as well as a new look pizza counter and an overhaul of the George and GM departments.

The project secured victory in "The Food & Drink Chain Excellence Award," showcasing the dedication to our values, Quality, Trust, Respect, Collaboration, and Positive Impact at Uplands. A big thanks to all involved for supporting the safe and successful removal and demolition of the footbridge crossing the A4 in Slough for Tesco, working with RLB. A road was closure in place for the 6-lane highway, with the 80 tonne bridge lifted at 5am Saturday and road back open 5am Sunday.
