Tomorrow (8th March) is International Women’s Day and this year’s theme is Accelerate Action for gender equality. According to data from the World Economic Forum, it will take until 2158, which is roughly five generations from now, to reach full gender parity at our current rate of progress.😮 IWD is a day about women but it's also for everyone to stand together and Accelerate Action to speed up the rate of progress worldwide. Together we can: ❎ Call out stereotypes. ❎ Challenge discrimination. ❎ Question bias and so much more. Every year, The London Welsh Rugby RFC hold a tournament at their ground at Old Deer Park in Richmond.   Cowbridge RFC under 10's team attended in their newly sponsored shirts. We were awarded the contract to refurb several Office spaces within our client's National Logistic Centres. The scope included the supply and installation of multiple “goods in” reception desks across our Client’s estate. The body of the desk was constructed using White melamine-faced MDF, and the external surfaces were finished seamlessly with white Krion. All materials were to be dimensioned using our new Beam Saw (this varied by site), the CNC machine programmed to create the curved shape design, and the Edge bander used to apply a robust ABS edge finish to the carcasses. The Solid surface sections were bonded and seamlessly joined in the workshop by our experienced certified bench joiners and finished to the desired sheen level by hand. A nice finishing touch along with the introduction of the LED lighting detail to enhance the curves. Due to the size of the unitary and access challenges strategic joints were left to seam onsite by our solid surface certified site joiners. Pictures below show it manufactured in the workshop and then installed in each location. We’re on week 21 of our Vehicle parking facility project in Aberdeen 🚗⚡🔌. Over the last few weeks, we’ve progressed with lighting on lamp posts, installation of manholes, installed trief kerb lines, ply lined the LV intake room so it’s ready for electrical installation and the installation of the welfare unit, ready for cladding. Tesco in Elderslie opened today 🎉🥳 This project was another challenging one 🥵 if you’ve ever been to Elderslie in Johnstone, you’ll know it’s a busy road with no parking facilities onsite. Managing the logistics of deliveries & multiple sub-contractors onsite was a daily struggle. However, our team did what they usually do and made the magic happen, on time and within budget.
