About us
Urban Edge Architecture was founded in the Lincolnshire market town of Stamford in 2007. Over the last 17 years we have built a diverse portfolio of projects within the industrial, retail, later living, residential and leisure sectors. Notable schemes include a number of retirement living communities for Inspired Villages, the first of which completed in 2023 and a distribution warehouse on the Erdington Industrial Estate in Birmingham which proposes a number of interventions and initiatives to improve energy performance, reduce air pollution and improve local air quality. Our client base continues to grow and we are currently working with some of the largest developers and funds in the UK including: Legal & General, USS, Hammerson, Orchard Street Investment Management, Wilson Bowden, Abrdn, NewRiver Retail and LaSalle Investment Management. We continue to thrive and are keen to bring our experience to projects of all scales and budgets. We pride ourselves in our approach and we involve the whole team in every project we embark upon. Our staff are committed to design and each team member brings something unique to the table, whether technically or conceptually biased, allowing conclusions to be reached quickly and efficiently. We seek to lead the way in sustainable design and construction and guide our clients towards healthier prospects with the implementation of energy saving products creating a brighter, cleaner future, whilst understanding the budget constraints involved. Urban Edge is ISO 9001:2015 accredited. Having a certified Quality Management System further strengthens our commitment to quality, ensuring clients receive the best level of service and the highest quality end product. We have also recently achieved our ISO 14001:2015 accreditation ensuring that our practice is underpinned with a promise to proactively manage our environmental impact through a commitment to pollution prevention, legal compliance and continual improvement.

After successfully gaining planning permission, we are now delighted to be delivering a state-of-the-art multi-temperature storage warehouse for Pulleyn. An adaptive re-use approach to the scheme brings a new lease of life to an existing asset. The project will deliver circa 100,000 sq.ft of temperature controlled storage comprising, ambient, chilled and frozen and associated office space. Urban Edge are acting as project architects, landscape architects, CDM and PD-BR for the project, alongside a talented consultant and contractor team.
