🏉 We’re working with Treorchy RFC on exciting new plans for the potential refurbishment of their building. This much-loved local club has been at the heart of the community for years, and we’re helping them engage with local residents to shape the future of the space. A feasibility study is now concluding, and if you happen to be a Treorchy resident (or have an interest), you’ll have the chance to view the proposals and share your feedback at a special drop-in session: Treorchy RFC, Lower Regent Street, Treorchy, CF42 6PN Friday 28th March 3pm – 7pm No booking required — just drop in. There will also be an opportunity to give feedback online via https://lnkd.in/e9627fbb It's been a real pleasure working on this project with them. This work has been funded by the Pen Y Cymoedd Community Fund. Dr Ben Reynolds

All of our events have been really well attended, with fantastic feedback from participants. Attendees have especially enjoyed the mix of classroom learning and hands-on experience. The project will continue – the enthusiasm for green infrastructure in Swansea is clear. In the meantime, please join us for a day of activity at our Green the City festival on 18 March. 🎥 We've been working with Lydia Fasham and we absolutely love this video she made for us about our meanwhile space (or pop-up space) project in Carmarthenshire! We've been talking about it a lot recently - mainly because of the number of spaces we've transformed across Carmarthen, Llanelli, and Ammanford. If you're interested about how we're breathing new life into empty spaces, have a read here: https://lnkd.in/guYkqNKf Check out the video and send us a DM if you'd like to chat about it! "Urban Foundry have done a fantastic job at unlocking spaces in the town. At Blueprint, we’ve been passionate about exploring interesting ideas for what can go here. Having a presence in the town is really what we need to drive this project forward - people can walk past, get involved in, and learn about who Blueprint are and what we’re doing." – James Dovey, Blueprint Wales💡 📈 Find out how Urban Foundry and Carmarthenshire County Council are using pop-ups or meanwhile spaces to help businesses based in Carmarthenshire. "Thanks to the fantastic opportunity and support from Urban Foundry, I was able to secure a central location in town - a possibility I never thought achievable when searching for venues. This experience has given me a valuable taste of what’s possible and encouraged me to consider investing in my own bricks and mortar." – Victoria Newman, Blossom to Bloom Newman & Lemon 🌸🏡 📈 Find out how Urban Foundry and Carmarthenshire County Council are using pop-ups or meanwhile spaces to help businesses based in Carmarthenshire. 🧵 "I run an alterations and repair shop with a heavy ethos of sustainability, promoting a repair culture here in Carmarthenshire and providing a much-needed local service. The impact of having this physical space in the town centre has been huge. It’s been fantastic - being in a visible spot has meant people can see me, see the signage outside, and even if they just come in to ask a question, it’s something they otherwise wouldn’t be able to do." – Jamie, Morgan Le Fay ✂️ Find out how Urban Foundry and Carmarthenshire County Council are using pop-ups or meanwhile spaces to help businesses based in Carmarthenshire. 👉 Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/guYkqNKf Funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

"We started the business in August and realised how much we needed a proper base and got in touch with Urban Foundry. This space in the arcade has had a huge impact - it’s definitely increased our revenue. Having an extra place on the high street has boosted our brand awareness just through footfall alone."
