Coffee is such an integral part of our offer, and often the first thing our customers have at our sites, so it’s essential that it tastes great, is made skillfully, but also ‘does good’. ☕ Well Grounded CIC is an award-winning social enterprise, that helps unemployed individuals learn the skills they need to access sustainable and enriching careers in coffee. We’ve been working with them since 2019 and in that time we've clocked up nearly 1,000 hours of work placements across our business with their trainees, with many of their cohorts going on to start rewarding careers with us. ✨✨✨ No wonder our coffee tastes so good... #WeLiveLondon #Coffee #Vacherin #Barista #SocialEnterprise #Training #FoodService

Last month we hosted our autumnal Innovation Forum (on a balmy August afternoon) for all of our managers and head chefs. Our Innovation Forums are a chance for our teams to come together, share and experience in new and tasty ideas, meet suppliers who are doing something different, and hear about all the exciting things that we are doing across the business. Here’s a throwback to that sunny session back in August… #WeLiveLondon #Vacherin #Hospitality #Teamwork #Innovation #FoodTrends #FoodService

We’ve all heard of a pub crawl, but how about a croissant crawl? 🥐 Last Friday Stephen Humphries took a group of Vacherin chefs on a west London pastry crawl to tuck into some of the city’s finest croissants. 👌 First up were the HUGE XXL croissant (feeds up to ten!), pain au chocolat and the pistachio croissant from Philippe Conticini. Then for more butter based goodness the team headed to CEDRIC GROLET The Berkeley for their fabulous pastries. And for the final stop, the team popped to Le Deli Robuchon to try the iconic Robuchon cube. Think it’s safe to say they all needed a strong coffee and a lie down after all that… 😴 #WeLiveLondon #Vacherin #FoodTrends #FoodTour #FoodService #Hospitality #Patisserie

Last week our talented chefs rustled up a stunning picnic for the hardworking team at Surrey Docks Farm.🐐 Our partnership with the farm started over two years ago and we now support them through volunteering days, purchasing produce, raising awareness, and funds, for the great work they do and the delicious things they grow. 🥕 Our chefs love to visit the farm and experience first hand the incredible work the team do there. #WeLiveLondon #Vacherin #Farming #Volunteering #Hospitality

Our Deputy GM and Springboard ambassador Diana Gailiunaite recently became Vacherin’s first, (of many we hope), The Burnt Chef Project ambassadors. This isn’t a quick or easy undertaking, it means committing to become an advocate for them, completing mental health training modules, and undertaking interview style rounds with the charity. Our Head of Food, Alex Rowe, has also become involved with The Burnt Chef Project with Kris Hall MIH and Diana and plans to expand our work with them across our wider Vacherin business. We’re excited to see the impact that this partnership has on our culinary teams. #WeLiveLondon #Vacherin #Hospitality #MentalHealth #Chefs #Charity

In early August we hosted our annual Street Vacherin competition, and it was our best one to date. Our Street Vacherin competition is a celebration of creativity, cooking, and great flavours. This year’s competition saw three exceptional teams battle it out to be crowned our Street Vacherin Champions 2024! Here’s a sneak peak of the competition in full swing and once again, a huge congratulations to our winners, Phonominal Fiesta, and our special guest judges Sabrina Gidda and Neil Rankin. #WeLiveLondon #Vacherin #FoodService #Competition #Hospitality #StreetFood

We’re incredibly proud of our exclusive stage partnership with the trailblazing Silo London - the world’s first zero waste restaurant. Under the mentorship of the hugely talented and visionary Douglas McMaster, Vacherin chefs are given the opportunity to immerse themselves in Silo’s innovative practices for a week. They are then tasked with bringing back a minimum of one initiative that they then introduce their kitchens, known as ‘The rule of Doug’. Here's a snap shot of some of the great cooking they've experienced. #WeliveLondon #Vacherin #HospitalityIndustry #Sustainabilty #ZeroWaste #Restaurants

We love the London hospitality scene, almost as much as we love watching our people thrive and grow in it 🚀 Here’s a recent snippet from Alice Barrett our Entrée superstar, Springboard Ambassador and Association of Catering Excellence ( ACE) #RobynAward winner highlighting why it is so important to put the time and effort in to support those just starting out in the industry - it really does pay dividends 💫 #WeLiveLondon #FoodService #Vacherin #HospitalityIndustry #Training
I gave 30 minutes of my time to meet with Tatiana through Eleanor Roper and Richard McGowan at Springboard. Tatiana wanted support and to build her confidence with interviews. I stayed in touch with Tatiana and shared her CV. She persevered with a few interviews and is now glowing in her role as a Barista. 30 minutes of my time has changed someone’s future. It puts it all into perspective! Entrée Vacherin

Yesterday saw the final of our Street Vacherin competition in the stunning grounds of Regents Park. Three brilliant street food teams battled it out for the chance to be crowned the 2024 Judges Champion 🍽 And the winner was... Phoneminal Fiesta from Investec for their Vietnamese Mexican fusion food which came alive with flavour, creativity, colour, and fun. Helping judge the 'Judges Champion' were Sabrina Gidda and Neil Rankin alongside Vacherin's Head of Food Alex Rowe and Mark F. Also up for grabs was the People's Champion trophy, voted for by all the guests, and for the first time, the same team won this too 🏆 A huge congratualtions to all the finalists for their phenominal cooking and creativity 👏 👏 👏 #WeLiveLondon #Vacherin #StreetVacherin2024 #Hospitality #Competition #FoodService

Our Street Vacherin 2024 final is just two days away and it looks set to be a scorcher! Street Vacherin is all about celebrating the creativity, talent, and passion of our talented site-based teams. Each team develops their own street food concept, complete with name and full menu, they even design their own logos. This year saw the highest number of entries from across the business. We took six teams into the semi-finals and from there, whittled it down to three finalists. This year’s finalists are: Phonominal Fiesta 🍜 It’s all gravy baby🍴 & Kawaii Thai🍙 The big question is… who will be crowned the Street Vacherin Champions 2024?🏆 #WeLiveLondon #StreetFood #Hospitality #FoodService #Competition #Talent #Chefs #Vacherin #HospitalityIndustry
