𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐢𝐝𝐝𝐞𝐧 𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐇𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐋𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐬 🎃 As Halloween parties gain popularity, many people turn to novelty contact lenses to complete their spooky looks. While these lenses may seem like a fun costume accessory, they can pose serious risks to your eye health. 👻 Often purchased online, these lenses are typically worn by people who are not regular contact lens users and may be made from poor-quality materials. Without proper fitting or care, costume lenses can cause infections, eye damage, or even sight loss. 🧛 Always purchase contact lenses from a licensed optometrist to ensure your safety this Halloween!

𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐋𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐔𝐊: 𝐀 𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐨 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 👁 The RNIB projects a 27% increase in the number of people living with sight loss in the UK by 2035, potentially affecting around 4 million individuals. This rise is linked to an aging population, chronic conditions like diabetes, and the lasting impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on eye care services. The RNIB emphasizes the need for early intervention and improved eye health management to combat this trend. 📣 To address these concerns, the RNIB is launching campaigns to raise public awareness about the importance of regular eye examinations and proactive health management. They urge health authorities to prioritize eye care services to meet the growing demand.
