This week, we are celebrating our 30th anniversary at VWFS UK head office. Colleagues are invited to get involved; reflect on their time with the business and look to the future together.    The event is packed with keynote sessions hosted by our Board of Management, and workshop style discussions on topics including ‘Boosting your Productivity at Work’, ‘Charge into the Future’ – a look at electric vehicles and ‘The Importance of our Used Car Business’. Supply and Operations Manager at VWFS, Jenni Mason along with colleagues in her team, recently volunteered a day away from the office to do some gardening at Camphill MK Communities. Camphill is an incredible organisation dedicated to supporting adults with learning disabilities. Jenni and the team lent a hand by composting in the morning and hedge trimming in the afternoon all whilst enjoying some tasty treats from Camphill’s café 🍒🍰 🗣️Reflecting on the experience, Jenni said: “It was an inspiring day. We learnt so much about the amazing work Camphill does to provide a safe and supportive space for adults with learning disabilities. It was refreshing to step out of our usual routine and see firsthand how we can contribute to our local community—both now and in the future.” We're proud of our colleague’s dedication to supporting local causes 👏

Business Analyst, Kayte Slark reflects on her personal development and professional journey spanning 16 years with VWFS UK. During her time, Kayte has gained a wealth of experience in different areas of the business including Customer Services, VW Bank, Underwriting, New Business and Business Analysis. Kayte has capitalised on development opportunities including secondments, mentoring, and in-house training to help her reach her position today. CUPRA were the stars of the carpark at VWFS UK HQ recently showcasing a range of vehicles including the brand’s first fully electric SUV, the Tavascan 🚗   Last month, accompanied by product experts, over 100 VWFS UK colleagues explored CUPRA's latest line-up, including the Tavascan, Formentor, Leon Hatch, Leon Estate, and Born VZ.   Niki Crouch, Brand Development Manager, SEAT and CUPRA at VWFS UK said: “Events like these are a great chance for our colleagues to get hands on with these great new products and put themselves in our customers’ shoes.”

VWFS and our colleagues are committed to supporting local charities 🌟   Recently, Susie Simmons, Procurement Controller, spent the day helping the Events team at Willen Hospice Milton Keynes clear storage containers, “I had a great day working with the Events team at Willen. It’s wonderful to help an amazing charity so close to many of our hearts.”   We're proud of our colleagues like Susie who make a positive impact in our local community 💙

Meet Angela Cooper, our Asset Risk Manager and Colleague of the Month winner 👋   Angela won our Colleague of the Month title in July as she was recognised by her team for her leadership and commitment to them. When asked about her journey to the award, Angela said:   “I used to say “manage people, I don't want the hassle!" But when appointed Asset Risk Team Leader in 2017 I completed an apprenticeship to support leading the team to the best of my ability. Not easy as a working mum, but worth it; passing with distinction. I continue my learning journey on the VWFS Leadership Development Course and have gained experience and knowledge from my current role.”   Thank you Angela, for all your support and hard work ⭐
