Our colleagues of MOIA will launch their pilot project for on-demand ridepooling, fully #autonomous! 🏙️ The project, called ALIKE, will cover an area in downtown Hamburg. This will allow a wide range of experiences in real urban traffic. The legally required safety drivers will be on board at any time. The whole project will have a high visibility with the general public. Goals: ✅ Test a new type of mobility, between public transport and private cars ✅ Sustainable & innovative expansion of public transport in a major European city Several companies are working together: Hamburger Hochbahn AG, MOIA, HOLON, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, Karlsruher Institut für Technologie (KIT), and the "Hamburg Authority for Transport and Mobility Transition" (BVM).
