📣 We are excited to announce our investment in Syntetica, an early stage French startup developing a potentially break-through solution for nylon recycling. Unlike existing solutions in the market, Syntetica is able to tackle both nylon 6 and 66 in blended textiles with a no pressure, low temperature (hence cost-effective, low carbon) chemical process. We are joining the €4.2M Seed round led by EQT Ventures alongside many great strategic investors. Syntetica will use the fresh capital to build out the team’s existing expertise with additional technical talent and begin producing the first fully recycled nylon materials for fashion and automotive clients with the aim of reaching a pre-industrial stage by mid-2026. Congrats to Marco Bertone and Louis Monsigny - looking forward to seeing what you do next! #circularfashion #textilerecycling #sustainableinnovation

Yesterday Volta Circle’s founder and the deputy group CEO of Indorama Ventures PCL (IVL) — Suchitra Lohia — took centre stage at World Economic Forum to discuss one of today's most pressing topics, waste and circularity in fashion. Notably, Suchitra touched on the key challenges large corporations face when it comes to valorising textile waste, including effective collection infrastructures, sorting optimization at scale, and pre-processing capacity so as to increase feedstock availability for recycling. Both at Volta Circle and IVL, multiple proactive steps are being taken in order to overcome these bottlenecks. Over at IVL, they are supporting initiatives such as ReHubs who are facilitating cross-value chain collaboration in order to recycle 2.5 million tonnes of recycled textile waste in Europe by 2030. Whereas here at Volta Circle, we are focusing our attention on innovations that are designing closed-loop systems, whether this be through reverse logistics and recommerce or sorting solutions for advanced textile-to-textile recycling. If you are building or investing in these areas, let's talk
