Join us for our next Members' Meeting tomorrow! For our October Members' Meeting, we’ve chosen the theme of Colliding Cultures. We’ll be focusing on diversity in the social enterprise landscape, and within our own network, along with discussing the strengths and challenges we come up against. Bayile Adeoti from Dechomai will be with us to tell us about the new Ethnic Minority Nework and to discuss the findings of the ACCESS Report - research on barriers for Ethnic Minority social entrepreneurs accessing finance. We will also hear form Empower Women for Change on their new Bridging Communities Project. We will also be joined by one of our newfound members, Bahar from Uplift and Empower, who will tell us about her upcming focus groups in Glasgow. In 2022/23, 59 people attended our Volunteer Managers' Networking Events, and 45 people attended our Opportunity Advertising Workshops. 91% agreed that they were better able to recruit, manage and retain volunteers as a result of attending. "I enjoy her visits - if she isn't able to come I might not speak to anyone that day at all." In 2022/23, we supported 23 Seniors in Home Visiting matches. All of our Seniors felt less isolated, 87% were more active, and 73% got out of the house more.
