Last year, we ran a competition with Go Radio to unearth ‘A Song for Glasgow’. Our aim was to find a song that captures the essence and vibrancy of our city, which will be used to represent our charity until the end of 2026. In return, the campaign offered bands and artists a chance to gain exposure by being featured across our future marketing campaigns plus five days’ recording time at the world-class Gorbals Sound studio. After being inundated with entries, we shortlisted our top 10 and asked Go Radio listeners to vote for their favourite. Five finalists then performed to a live audience at Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, with our panel of music industry experts choosing Jamie Campbell and his song ‘Glasgow’ as the winner. 🎥 Click the link in the comments to listen to the track in full.

Valentine’s Day was the 25th anniversary of one of Glasgow’s biggest feel-good love stories celebrating wellbeing and social connection. Glasgow Club helps people keep fit and healthy in our citywide network of gyms and fitness studios boasting the latest equipment, courts and pools. Members get the guidance and support of a brilliant team of expert trainers through flexible, affordable membership plans. The standard monthly option costs £31 – just £1 more than in 2000. As the only not-for-profit health club in the city, all the funds Glasgow Club makes are re-invested in its excellent services and facilities. Membership has more than trebled since Glasgow Club’s earliest days when around 150 weekly classes were held in Glasgow City Council sport venues. Now, 36,000 direct debit members take advantage of an extensive and varied programme of over 1,000 classes a week that are designed to suit everyone, from beginners to experienced gym goers, and include specialist sessions tailored for people with additional needs or health conditions.
