Wagstaff Recruitment & Careers Coaching
Staffing and Recruiting
Recruiters within the engineering, manufacturing & automated distribution sectors. UK, USA, & Europe
About us
What sets us apart from other UK and International recruitment services...... Well let’s be honest – recruitment is what it is, recruitment! You’ve probably come across recruiters claiming to be ‘unique’ or ‘different,’ but the truth is, recruitment is a job done by professionals (and yes, some parts can be automated). However, we firmly believe that the real difference in a professional recruitment service lies in the people and relationships behind it. Whether you’re on the hunt for your next dream job or searching for the great talent to join your organisation, the core elements remain the same – you need a recruiter you can trust, has the right skills and who you can build a genuine relationship with. Here at Wagstaff, trust, genuine curiosity, and industry knowledge are at the heart of what we do. While we measure success by delivering results, we go beyond just transactional recruitment. For employers, we aim to be more than just an external agency; we want to be an extension of your internal talent process, dedicated to long-term partnership. But if all you need is a quick CV to fill a gap, we may not be the right fit for you. Even when you’re not actively recruiting or job-hunting, we want to remain an integral part of your professional network, making a meaningful impact on your journey. Keeping you informed about industry data, tech advancements, and employment trends is our way of adding value to your career.

We've all been there—meticulous plans laid out, only for things to take an unexpected turn. But here’s the key: The destination remains the same, even if the route gets a bit scenic (or bumpy!). Flexibility is not a sign of failure, it’s a strength. It’s about staying committed to your vision while embracing the challenge to adapt. Keep pushing forward, stay open to new strategies, and remember: resilience is often the difference between giving up and breakthrough. 💡🚀 #WagstaffWisdom #Resilience #Adaptability #GrowthMindset #Leadership #CareersCoaching

You are invited to our biannual Labour Market Review, where we usually explore the latest trends in the UK jobs market. But this year, we’re not just tackling any labour review—we’re diving headfirst into Labour's Market Review. With the Labour Party now in power, we're anticipating significant changes to employment law and workers' rights following their proposals in the King's Speech, including their ‘Plan to Make Work Pay’ and other key reforms. This LinkedIn Live event is a double dose of Labour—the market and the government—and we’ve assembled the perfect panel to help us navigate these changes. Joining me will be Paul Chamberlain, Partner and Head of Employment at JMW Solicitors, along with my fellow recruitment and people strategy associates, Phillippa Hart and Charlotte Sykes. Together, we’ll take an honest and insightful look at what’s happening in the labour market, the challenges, and opportunities ahead, and what these political shifts mean for employers across the UK, including but not limited to: • Zero hours contracts • Day one rights • Ending fire and re-hire • Extending SSP and maternity rights • Flexible working So join us—it’s not just your typical Labour Market Review. It’s Labour’s Employment Market Review, promising to be an engaging and informative exploration of what the future holds.

Planes, (no trains!), but lots of automobiles! at the Advanced Engineering UK show with ConeX Portal . An insightful morning with Stuart Cooper BEng (Hons) , the event was packed full of innovation. Highlights for me were the amount of varied composite suppliers with really interesting future innovations, and always of interest is the discussion around skills, hiring, and retention. The data remains that 20% of the engineering workforce will retire by 2026, but what I didn't know was 40% of engineering students take roles out of engineering after they qualify! This is a great free event for students to attend Harriet A. Julie Poppleton Great to see you Sam Baynham Adam Payne FInstLM Leigh Howarth Angela Lawlor 🏭 Christophe Convert Casper Kruger Luke A. #engineering #innovation #composites #manufacturing #design #aeuk23

You won’t find stock images on our website because we use real photos, even though our team isn’t particularly fond of being photographed! As a people-focused business, it’s crucial that we are authentic, relatable, and recognisable. This was reinforced when an applicant, who had printed our advert and arranged a call with Ruth, remarked at the end of the conversation, ‘This really is you on your website!’ We want all our customers and stakeholders to see who we truly are. We believe this helps build genuine connections. Agree? The team might secretly hope you don’t! 🤣 Stuart Cooper BEng (Hons) Ruth Forster Natalie Taylor Sarah Hawthorne Louise Wilson
