Parker Review 2025: Progress on Ethnic Diversity in UK Business The latest Parker Review report reveals both progress and challenges in improving ethnic diversity at the top levels of UK businesses. Some key takeaways: 🔸 95% of FTSE 100 and 82% of FTSE 250 companies now have at least one ethnic minority director, showing significant improvement. 🔸 The number of FTSE 250 firms meeting the target rose by 17% year-on-year, a testament to the collective efforts of all stakeholders involved. 🔸 Senior management progress remains slow, with ethnic minorities making up only 9-11% of executives across FTSE firms (target for 2027 is between 13% and 15%). 🔸 Black representation lags significantly behind other minority groups in both board and senior roles. While voluntary targets have driven change, there is still work to be done - especially in executive pipelines and Black leadership representation. Diversity is not just a moral imperative; it is a business advantage.
