More work with meaning from February 📰 We’re into our second year of Upriser, delivering creative career building opportunities at Willows High School. Year 10s did an incredible job of writing and designing the first edition of The Willows Way Mag to promote the school. We’ve been sharing our expertise in placemaking - and learning from others - with a seat on the Thriving Newport panel and at the Design Commission for Wales and Welsh Government Placemaking Conference. We launched the first Sound Run Club. 75 runners came together to chat women’s safety and how to create safer streets for everyone. On the weekend, my colleagues and I were present at the announcement of Relay Your Way, created by Cerebra. We’ve been working with Cerebra on the beautiful branding designed by Katie Price and we finally got to see it in action! Also, supporting on their PR we aim to get them the coverage they deserve. Cerebra are a fantastic charity supporting families and young people with neurological conditions. I can’t wait to see Britain’s most inclusive relay launch in Glasgow, head through England, Wales and finish in Windsor. 2500km in 33 days. It’s been a real pleasure and privilege to work with the customers, colleagues and residents of Newport City Homes and Melin Homes to deliver this important piece of work. We’ll post more about how we developed the name and brand for the merger soon (so many incredible engagement sessions!) but in the meantime… It’s out there. 🤩 Our biggest thanks go to the whole team we’ve worked with over the past year, particularly Rachel Moss (FCIPR, Chart.PR) and to Ceri Doyle Paula Kennedy for their exceptional leadership. A new year and an exciting new future for us, we want to share some news! We are merging with Melin Homes in April, and the new merged organisation will be called Hedyn, which means seed in Welsh. We spent a lot of time talking to over 900 people; customers, residents, partners and colleagues to find out what’s important to you, what you expect from the new organisation, and how we can meet that need. And with input from residents and leaseholders on our Joint Customer Panel, and the support of brand experts at Cowshed, we have developed our new name and brand. This time last year the BOG STANDARD was still a twinkle in our eye. Today is the launch of the next step with Manchester United signing up to the 🥇GOLD BOG STANDARD and leading the way for football clubs across the globe. Huge congratulations to the team at phs Group Kelly Greenaway MCIM MCIPR for pushing so hard on this. Props to 'Cause Bethan Davies for delivering a stellar PR launch for Back in the Game this morning and to all those who are sharing their stories. Thank you. With 74% of men saying urinary incontinence stops them from attending games due to anxiety and the lack of disposal facilities, it’s time for change. We’re proud to partner with Manchester United, the first The Premier League team to champion BOG STANDARD, and Prostate Cancer UK, ensuring men living with incontinence can get back to enjoying the game they love. We’ve had the most incredible day joining the other partners of Saatchi & Saatchi UK Upriser programme at the impressive Coronation Street Experience in Manchester. We are moving into our second year of working with Willows High School in Cardiff so hearing how the other partners are getting on was timely.
