💙 SHAKING THINGS UP 💙 We supported UP - The Cerebral Palsy Movement for World CP Day 2024 on October 6th, calling on the new government to recognise CP as a lifelong condition that deserves joined-up healthcare. We captured images of people with CP aged from 3 to 85 in front of Parliament Square, to highlight the lack of support available throughout their lives. Here's some of the coverage the team secured, in the Metro.

💙 SHAKING THINGS UP 💙   Earlier this year, we supported Cancer Research UK for the launch of Race for Life 2024.   Knowing music is a motivator and full of meaning, we launched 'Plays For Life' - a shared playlist for everyone who wants to get active to help fund research and beat cancer.   People could add a song and share what it means to them, whether it motivates them to get moving, reflects their personal experience or reminds them of a loved one.   Pixie Lott helped launch the list, with a packed-out pop-up gig at Battersea Power Station, close to where the first Race for Life was run.   As part of our media strategy, we also worked with media volunteers who kindly shared their stories.   Case studies are a crucial part of our strategies when achieving coverage as we know media are after real life stories which bring campaigns to life. This interview secured with Metro did just that.

SHOOK: Ideas that shake the world

I DID NOT THINK I could go further out of my comfort zone this week. Turns out I could. Move over slam poetry debut...Here's me on Channel 5 News talking about Oasis' PR. I got about 20 mins notice and I hadn't even brushed my hair today when, thanks to fellow comms smash hit Howard Bowden, I got the call. But I seized the opportunity, because in the words of Vinnie Jones, in my favourite film*: "The opportunity was there. In my experience, it's best to take the opportunity. If it's there." Words to live by. In short, here's my PR pov: The announcement was a masterplan People were always going to be disappointed at not getting tickets But the dynamic pricing, queuing problems and resale have left a sour taste The band has an opportunity to turn it round. If I was them, I'd announce even more new dates and sell physical tickets in record stores, giving original fans a 90s reminder and letting younger fans have a taste of the retro experience It would be great for footfall to indy record stores too Liam is, however, still hilarious - 'How does your mum feel about the reunion?' 'Gutted she didn't get a ticket'. *Yes, it's Lock Stock, and yes I have excellent taste in films, as well as music, thank you.

    • My lovely big face on the news, with Gemma Moroney PR expert as the caption. So it's official. Also, doesn't my hair look lovely and blonde. Yes, according to my friend it does,

Hello Brev* Have you seen Curry's latest TikTok? If not, and you need to and here's SHOOKER Isabella Holden in Creative Moment to tell you why: At a time when students are getting kitted out for their first term, this speaks to them by not trying too hard. And to their parents (*inc the one writing this), who are trying really hard to get it right. Essential viewing for essential purchases. PS: If you are in the market for a new air fryer, don't forget to donate or recycle your old one with Recycle Your Electricals https://lnkd.in/ddKCnQGT

It's been a super summer of stories with the super GTR (Govia Thameslink Railway) team. 🐶 'Blue Wag Beaches' has seen us give dog owners advice on the best beaches (and countryside) destinations on the GTR network, with tail-wagging top picks, and tips for doggy days out (1 in 10 city dogs has never been out of the city!). Today's Daily Star spread rounds it off, marking International Beach Day. ✍️ Meanwhile, we've been celebrating the winners of the 'Poetry in Motion' campaign launched earlier this year with Children's Poet Laureate, and all round superstar, Joseph Coelho. Kids were invited to share a poem about a destination on the GTR network and Joseph picked the winners. They saw their poems turned into posters and enjoyed brilliant prize days out too. Loads of lovely coverage of these budding young writers and their favourite days out places, including Freya and her dad on BBC Sussex this morning.
