Earlier this month, we welcomed our newest Technical Support Engineer, Marie WURTZ, to the Wellvene team, joining our partners, R&D Solutions, in Perth, Australia. During a career that has taken her all over the world, Marie has fostered a robust foundation in technical leadership, spanning operations, data management, and, most recently, commercial functions. Adept at supporting teams and organisations of varying sizes to deliver the best for their projects, Marie is looking forward to working with our Australian clients to implement innovative solutions that meet their unique challenges, no matter the complexity. Marie will be supporting both the Wellvene and Omega Well Intervention Product Lines from the R&D Solutions office in Perth CBD. Need some focused support? DHVI UK Operations Manager Ari Rozkalns is here to help! Since signing our exclusive agreement with DHVI Downhole Video and Intervention back in April, he has been utilising his extensive experience in downhole camera design and operations to help our clients visualise their wellbore with pinpoint accuracy. So, today, Ari has answered just a handful of the most frequently asked questions he gets as DHVI’s technical support go-to. ❔ What can clients expect from DHVI Technical Support? “For each individual camera operation, we ensure that a team of experienced camera operators and technical staff are on hand 24 hours a day for support. Before a camera operation takes place, we will set up a contact group that includes key personnel and DHVI technical advisors from the UK and North America to give round-the-clock support. Plus, we have a 24-hour call answering service should a customer need emergency camera service.” ❔ How often can an issue be resolved remotely? “Almost always. We supply 100% redundancy on all equipment mobilised to an operation. So, should a technical problem occur, there is always a backup piece for equipment to be used. DHVI can also log in to the camera system’s user interface remotely and help diagnose any potential technical issue.” ❔ And if it can't be resolved remotely? “Should we need to, we can mobilise an engineer and spare equipment from the UK or North America. Fresh from its maiden voyage…🚢 One of our Inter-Lift™ systems returned to Wellvene HQ today after completing its first successful offshore operation. Utilised by a North Sea Operator to support a DHSV remedial workscope, the Inter-Lift™ reduced the operational risks associated with wireline operations during the handling and make-up of lubricator and slickline toolstrings. Without the Inter-Lift™, the operation would usually require one crew member to position themselves on scaffolding to manually guide the lubricator connection into the mating BOP connection while additional crew members operate the mast and help align the lubricator via a guy rope. With our revolutionary safety system, which incorporates a fail-safe hydraulic ram connected directly to a specialised BOP and lubricator, manually handling and guiding the lubricator into the BOP was no longer required. The need for POB to work under suspended loads was eliminated, personnel required was reduced from three to two for this stage of the operation, and the efficiency of stabbing in and attaching the lubricator to the BOP connection was significantly increased. A fantastic day in Stavanger yesterday for Neil Campbell and I as we joined operators, service companies and our well intervention colleagues at the THREE60 ENERGY Day. Themed, A Positive Industry, the event was packed with fascinating presentations and discussions on how we can all play our part in adding to a more sustainable and energy efficient landscape. We were also thrilled to join our Norwegian partner Marwell AS at this event to progress our plans for the region and introduce more of our innovative technologies that assist with interventions, flow control, safety valve remedial work, and plug & abandonment operations.
