In a first event of its kind wienerberger brought together different stakeholders from the industry to discuss the future of roofing! This created a unique opportunity to bring together insights and experience, from our roofing contractors, specialist roofing merchants and housing developers, to help shape the future of our industry. wienerberger organised two customer-focused networking events in East Lothian, Scotland, and Burton on Trent, England. During these events, a wide range of topics were discussed, including decarbonisation, new product innovations, and an industry challenges and opportunities workshop which we held in collaboration with the NFRC. Both events were a great success, providing us with valuable insights from our customers and partners. We are delighted that our donation of bricks and roof tiles contributed to establishing a new community sports hub in the beautiful Peak District National Park. ⚽ The new facilities at Glossop North End Community Club significantly boost sports in the local area and provide an inclusive and welcoming environment for women and girls, along with increased opportunities for everyone to play. This development features a fantastic 3G pitch named after Ellen White MBE, honouring her contribution to the Lionesses' victory in the UEFA Women’s EURO trophy in 2022. It also includes a two-team changing pavilion. The project has been made possible thanks to a £1.55 million grant from the Premier League, The FA, and the Government’s Football Foundation. We operate a brick factory on Windmill Lane in Denton and a quarry in Glossop, and we have donated over 16,000 bricks and 3,400 roof tiles to help create this community space. We have been running Mouselow Quarry in Dinting, Glossop, since the 1990s and aim to support community projects close to our operations. #SocialImpact #ConstructionUK #wienerbergerUK
