Co-Founder & Head of Procurement at Wingers | Top Notch Buttermilk Fried Chicken 🐔

Customers asked, and we listened ...   Recently we launched some new items to our menu based on customer feedback.   We'd had multiple requests from franchisees and customers for a desert option beyond our milkshakes, so we decided to give freshly baked products a go, and who doesn't love cookies?   We’re all about keeping the Wingers menu as local as possible, so I took some time to find a local bakery and our cookies are sourced from the amazing Dollie's Cookies. Big shout out to them for these delicious flavours:   🍪 Biscoff 🍪 Choc Chip 🍪 Funfetti 🍪 Oreo   In just the first week, the cookies flew off the shelves, selling nearly twice what we expected! We took this as feedback that the cookies were a hit and now, they're a permeant staple on the menu.    Listening to what our franchisees and customers want and delivering (nearly) always results in a win.

Co-Founder & Head of Procurement at Wingers | Top Notch Buttermilk Fried Chicken 🐔

When did you last step out of your comfort zone? 🐔 When we launched Wingers, I didn't know that my job would one day be 'Head of Procurement' - I was just getting the job done. Sourcing the best ingredients, negotiating contracts, and ensuring our supply chain was rock solid. As I was growing into this role, the business was also growing and so were the challenges that come with it - leading new store openings with my brother, navigating the complexities of expansion, and even working on marketing strategies and branding. These challenges forced me to think differently, adapt quickly, and grow. I’ve learned that discomfort is a powerful teacher, and it really leads to personal and professional development. As we continue to expand Wingers, I’m grateful for these challenges and excited for the ones ahead. For anyone facing similar hurdles: lean into the discomfort. #ComfortZone #ProfessionalDevelopment

There's nothing wrong with saying no! In our family dynamic, Bill, Dylan and me all bring unique strengths to the table, which ultimately results in well thought out decision-making. But that doesn't mean that it's easy balancing our three different styles and having to say "no" to each another. 🐔 The Visionary: This is our Dad Bill. He has a "let's get this done" attitude. He dives into opportunities headfirst, and isn't afraid to take risks in a way that I really admire. His boldness has driven our rapid expansion and without this spirit, Wingers wouldn't have just opened its 12th site. 🐔 The Mediator: My brother Dylan sits between our Dad and me, balancing risk and caution. He understands the importance of both ambition and careful planning and his ability to weigh options and see both sides of a situation means that our decisions are well-rounded. 🐔 The Realist: I tend to think things through a bit more analytically. Before saying yes, I question ideas and run the numbers. This approach helps prevent rash decisions and ensures that every move we make is sustainable and beneficial in the long run. It's important to have different thinking styles in a team, and pushing back against one another from time to time actually helps us move forward. Saying 'no' is often necessary in order to ensure we allocate our resources wisely, and stay true to our vision. #DecisionMaking #BusinessGrowth

Founder & Head of Operations at Wingers | Top Notch Buttermilk Fried Chicken🐔

One of our toughest nights at Wingers taught me a lot... It was the 31st Dec 2022, we already had lots of pre-orders on the system and it was looking like it was going to be a great night for business. We were managing 12 drivers from our dark kitchen at the time and we we'd been getting let down quite a bit, which meant delayed deliveries and pi**ed off customers calling up and understandably complaining. We had 10 drivers scheduled to work the NYE shift, 2 of which showed up ...one of our busiest nights of the year. Customers were upset. We were stressed. It was a total mess. Instead of being angry with the drivers, we just got on with things and somehow ended up getting through the night and into the new year. The next morning, without hesitation, we decided to switch to Uber Eats drivers, so that we could ensure reliable and efficient deliveries and keep our customers happy. I learnt a lot from the experience, and ultimately if the stressful situation hadn't of happened, we wouldn't have ended up realising something needed to change. From situations like this one (and many others) I've learned that when something bad is happening, there is probably going to be a lesson in it, or an improvement that can be made once the dust has settled. It just doesn't feel like that in the moment... #BusinessGrowth #Resilience #Entrepreneurship

Happy to share that the 12th Wingers franchise will soon be opening in Derby 🐔 It's mad to think that 4 years ago we were working on recipes in the family kitchen during covid, and now the twelfth shop is opening... Our franchisees are the life blood of the Wingers brand, and it's important that they all have the tools and support they need to make their business a success. It's been a lot fun helping Amaneek Choongh get her shop ready for launch over the last few weeks and she is Wingers first solo female franchisee 😎 Starting a business always has its risks, which is why opening a franchise under a brand that's done it before can be a great way to get things off the ground as an entrepreneur. Lots of support, and also high potential for returns, make Wingers a fantastic business opportunity for aspiring business owners - let's connect! I can't wait to see Amaneek smash it in Derby #FranchiseOpportunity #BusinessGrowth #QSR

"We went to the training facility at Jestic Foodservice Solutions, looking at the Henny Penny fryers. Once we realised how easy they are to use and the benefits you get from them in terms of product quality and your oil saving you’re getting, it was kind of like a no brainer that we had to look into it and invest in them." Great to hear from Amran Sunner, Founder and Head of Operations at Wingers! 👇
