Purpose Coach. Helping people find meaning, direction & freedom. Social Bite Co-Founder, Keynote Speaker.

"Grit" (perseverance and willingness to put yourself out there) is a stronger indicator of success than IQ. Which explains a lot about how I am where I am today! We hear it all the time: "You miss 100% of the shots you don't take!" which sounds good 'n' all... but knowing that doesn't necessarily make it any easier to actually shoot your shot, right? 🎯 So, inspired by the challenges shared by the University of Edinburgh Business School students who I am OBSESSED with coaching each year, I designed a workshop on Overcoming The Fear Of Failure. Having delivered some of this content to the students already, I'm getting some incredible feedback about its impact! But it's not only the younger generations that struggle with this. It's pervasive - we are all more watched than ever before thanks to social media, and more scared than ever of putting ourselves out there as a result. Think of the countless opportunities that are being missed every day because our unconscious mind (our amygdala!🧠) holds us back from things we don't even know we wanted or could've had. That's why I will also be delivering this workshop for the Women's Business Club's awesome event at the end of the month! Scotland Women's Business Conference & Awards on Tue 29th October at 11am in Edinburgh. Here is the link to come along 👉 https://lnkd.in/ehFM3g_b So if you want to come & take charge of your neurobiology and learn strategies for the grit and perseverance that will truly make a difference in your life and career, while protecting your energy & well-being, The 3 pillars of this workshop are: ➡️Normalising Failure ➡️Understanding the Neurobiology of Fear ➡️A structured process for overcoming the fear of putting yourself out there. Let me know below if I’ll see you at this workshop at Scotland Women's Business Conference & Awards in Edinburgh! #PersonalGrowth #FearOfFailure #WomenInBusiness

I had a wonderful time at the Women's Business Club conference and awards at Bath Racecourse on Tuesday, it was great to connect with so many amazing women in the business world! While networking events usually push me out of my comfort zone, I really appreciate Georgina Mellor for encouraging me to give it a go ☺️   As for the awards ceremony, I’m thrilled to share that my lovely colleague Georgina Mellor was a runner-up in her category. Whilst the boss lady Alana Patchett took home the win! Woop Woop 🙌🏻 So proud of them! :)   A big thank you to Tamsin Broster for organising such a great event and for bringing together such a fantastic group of women! I’m looking forward to the next one!

It is no secret that I have a difficult relationship with celebrating myself and my achievements...Which is why this post has been so challenging to write- and has been started, paused and deleted, oh about 6 times already. But I won an award this week. It is very nice and I am thrilled to have been recognised in such a way (it is shiny and made of glass and I am obsessively polishing it to remove fingerprint smudges) But what I want to celebrate really are the people behind that award. My colleagues Katie Trayner and Georgina Mellor for nominating me in the first place. Danielle Winters and Jo Buchanan for writing testimonials that clinched me the win...and humbled me too, in a good way. ALL of my wonderful colleagues at Purple Monster for generally always having my back and supporting me to be a better person and leader all the time. A thank you also goes out to the Tamsin Broster and the Women's Business Club for organising the conference and awards that bought so many incredible women together. Please enjoy these most excellent photos of Katie, George and myself looking overjoyed and very surprised to have won anything! #womeninbusiness #awards #celebration

I can't quite believe I am saying this, but yesterday completely unexpectedly, I WON Female Founder of the Year 2024 at the Women's Business Club Conference in Bath! I was absolutely speechless and so shocked, so who knows what I said when I went to collect my award 🤣 Thank you to Klara Goldy for sponsoring the award and choosing me as the winner. Thank you to Angela De Souza and Tamsin Broster for creating a wonderful Women's Business Club and such a fantastic event yesterday. And thank you to my wonderful family, friends and team at Bay's Kitchen, without you all I couldn't have built this business and then be recongised in awards like this. Thank you also to all those who voted for me as well. I am so honoured to be among such an amazing list of other winners and runners up to. For the full list see the Women's Business Club post! This week also marked the launch of Buy Women Built on Ocado (more on that tomorrow!)... what a week for female founders 🙌 #femalefounders #femalefounderoftheyear #womensbusinessawards

Helping Ambitious Women Feel Worthy AF & Attract the Love & Life that lights them up | 1:1 Mindset Makeovers | Speaker & Workshop Leader on Confidence & Self-Worth

Wow, what an amazing day at the Women's Business Club event in Bath yesterday! Thank you again to Tamsin Broster for making it so magical! 🙌✨ I met so many incredible women, celebrated their successes, and equally felt celebrated myself, even though I wasn't up for an award. 🎉💖 ➡ Throughout the day, I had the privilege of coaching 14 women, and they all shared something in common: ➡feelings of doubt, not feeling good enough, not feeling seen, and not believing in themselves. Many had to dig deep just to show up because they felt like imposters. While hearing these doubts made me sad, it also lit me up because I get to help them change how they feel about themselves. I help them see themselves the way their colleagues, friends, and the women in the room already do—strong, capable, and worthy. 💫 The work I do is the most rewarding thing I’ve ever done, and I’m truly grateful for it. 🙏 To anyone reading this: 💕 You are seen. 💕You are enough. 💕You are doing your best. 💕You are needed in this world just as you are. There’s no need to hide or feel like you can’t walk into a room just as you are. We want to see the real you. So shine bright, smile, love, and keep going. 🌸✨ 💕If you're ready to feel more seen and confident when you step into a room full of strangers, please reach out to me. 🙌🏼The women I coached yesterday had made a decision to step out of their comfort zone, to try something new and make some changes that will put an end to holding themselves back. —and now it’s your turn. 🙌🏼 #womeninbusiness
