It’s World Mental Health day, and the theme for 2024 is “It is time to prioritise mental health in the workplace”. Globally, an estimated 12 billion working days are lost every year to depression and anxiety at a cost of US$ 1 trillion per year in lost productivity. Statistics show that women suffer from burnout more than men. The following reasons have been sited: 💠Greater burden of carer responsibilities and bearing the motherhood penalty 💠Lack of progression at work and perpetuation of gender pay gap 💠Continued harassment, bullying and lack of psychological safety and support from management Find out more in this article: https://lnkd.in/dXDzqaDH

As the sun sets on summer, many of us start experiencing a sense of unease known as the "summer scaries." It's that mix of anxiety and stress as we transition from the relaxed pace of summer to the busier, more structured routines of autumn. But why do we feel this way? The change in seasons often brings new pressures—whether it's the return to work or simply the shift from holiday mode to full productivity. The laid-back days of summer, filled with long weekends and outdoor fun, can make the prospect of deadlines and responsibilities feel overwhelming. So how can you best set yourself up for this shift? 📅 Plan ahead: organise your calendar to reduce anxiety. ✔ Set small goals: ease into your routine gradually. 💗 Keep self-care: continue summer habits like walks or reading. 🤝 Reconnect: reach out to colleagues or friends. 🍂 Embrace autumn: focus on the positives of the new season. 🥇 Champions celebrating champions, women celebrating women. Simone Biles and Jordan Chiles bowing down to congratulate Rebeca Andrade on her gold medal win is everything we love to see. In a world where competition can sometimes overshadow collaboration, moments like this remind us of the power of unity. When women come together, cheer each other on, and celebrate every win, we all rise higher. Here's to women supporting women—on the podium, at work, and everywhere in between. Together, we're unstoppable. 💪✨
