What does impact look like? Sometimes, it looks like a simple pie chart. 58 responses. 81% said they increased their knowledge, skills, and confidence. 19% said it reinforced what they already knew and felt. 0% said it made no difference. This was the feedback from a recent keynote I delivered as part of the CAPE conference. And while I’m proud of the data, it’s the moments behind the numbers that matter most. After the keynote, a headteacher quietly approached me and said: "For the first time in months, I don’t feel like I’m failing. I feel like myself again." That’s why I do this work. Balance:Ed was never just about delivering professional insight—it’s about human connection. It’s about reminding leaders that they are enough, even when the system stretches them thin. To every school leader who shows up with honesty, courage, and care: thank you. You are not alone. And you are making a difference. The work continues—and so does the hope.
