Biochar improves farmland, Gardens, Business and livestock. Capture Carbon with our CO2 Negative innovative technology

About us

Welcome to Woodtek Biochar, providing information and feedback from our experience producing and using Biochar. Our Woodtek C1000 Biochar plant is at the forefront of biochar technology, developed whilst conducting farm-scale trials with Biochar. Throughout 2023 and 2024 we have been busy working on three C1000 Biochar projects alongside conducting Biochar trials. During 2024 we started publicly sharing what we are learning from Biochar so please, check our website to follow our progress. All the Biochar used has been produced with the pilot Woodtek C600 Biochar plant. We have been applying it to land and other applications on our 100-acre family farm since 2021, where Woodtek Engineering Ltd is also located. Operating the pilot C600 plant for over 38,000, alongside the research and development of the Woodtek C1000 has allowed Woodtek to engineer out potential issues from operation and maintenance. Woodtek as a family business has over 30 years of experience operating, installing and servicing a wide range of biomass boilers and energy from waste plants ensuring the C1000 is the complete solution.

Updates

  • New Podcast launch As our Carbon capture journey continues with new #biochar plant projects being built and wonderful results from farm trials over the years, we look at the best ways to share our experience with you both good and challenging. Since Mick Jones first made Biochar in our Pyrolysis plant over 5 years ago we have seen the UK Biochar crowd grow and grow. This podcast is for new people diving into the world of Biochar and those already in the UK Biochar industry to keep up to date with what we are doing and our journey. In Episode 1 we ask "What is Biochar?" If you have heard of Biochar you will know it is a form of captured and sequestered carbon with great co-benefits. If you are new to Biochar you will more than likely have read the same explanation over and over again, however, what "really" is Biochar? In truth, Biochar is different to every producer and user. In this episode, we ask what Biochar is to you? Darren Jones and Mick Jones ask this question to Connor Lascelles of Earthly Biochar Industries and Dan Wrench from the Shropshire Council Climate task force. Woodtek manufactures pyrolysis equipment for producing Biochar and the Jones family has been producing and using Biochar since 2019. We always share what we learn about our journey using Biochar, experimenting with Biochar, making Biochar or manufacturing the technology to produce Biochar showing both the good and the bad helping others not make the same mistakes we made. #biochar #carboncapture #podcast Listen on Spotify or watch on YouTube Link to both in comments
