We're delighted to welcome the University of Copenhagen Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, UCPH as our 59th #WERFephect compliant centre in #endometriosis research. Investment in basic research into #endometriosis is crucial for us to discover disease mechanisms and progression that can lead to improved #diagnostics and better #treatment options.
This Wednesday, 29 November 2023, a group of us* is putting the case for investing in #endometriosis to the European Parliament. Krina Zondervan, Ulrik Bak Kirk, Adrienn Salamon, Nicolas Bourdel, and myself will be ready at 13.00 CET in Brussels to highlight why #researchanddevelopment in endometriosis is under-funded - and the significant personal and societal consequences associated with neglecting investment in #womenshealth. We hope our call for action will be met positively by all the MEPs and stakeholders, who have committed to attend this hearing. We'll be there to collaborate with legislators and funders to #makelifebetter for the 190 million worldwide, who are affected by endometriosis. Thank you to Pernille Weiss and Jerome de Barros for hosting us. If you want to join the hearing online, please contact me directly for login details. #womenshealthmatters * representing University of Oxford, EndoCaRe Oxford, Aarhus University, FEMaLe project, SURGAR, "Együtt könnyebb" Női Egészségért Alapítvány, endometriosis.org, and everyone affected by #endometriosis!
