Some of the team are at British Equine Veterinary Association (BEVA) Congress where we are running our ever popular 'survey for socks'! 🧦 This year we are asking vets for their experiences of equine identification to support our #StopHorseSmuggling campaign. 📌 We are at stand D11 if you'd like to take part. #WorldHorseWelfare

About us
World Horse Welfare, the leading international horse charity, is dedicated to promoting horse welfare worldwide. We take in hundreds of neglected and frightened horses every year, and due to the cost of living crisis we are at risk of seeing the UK’s most vulnerable horses suffer in greater numbers than ever 💔 Today, on International Day of Charity, we ask for your support in helping us to continue our important work. By setting up a monthly gift of just £3 or whatever you can afford, you will ensure we are there for horses in desperate need of help 👉 https://bit.ly/4d1Vtpu #WorldHorseWelfare #InternationalDayOfCharity

Do you remember Moose, Goose and Cancan? 🐴 The inspirational trio were the stars of our Christmas appeal last year, with Moose having raised orphaned Cancan alongside her own foal Goose. We're thrilled to let you know that in March this year Moose was rehomed, and last week Goose and Cancan headed off to their new home where they will continue to be together! The future is looking bright for our lovely little trio 💙 We couldn't continue to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome horses like Moose, Goose and Cancan without our wonderful supporters - thank you for helping us make this happen! If you would like to help us be there for even more horses in need, you can donate today via our link 👉 https://bit.ly/3Xq84hx #WorldHorseWelfare

We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who came to visit us at Defender Blair Castle International Horse Trials this year for the event's farewell celebration 🎉 Despite the rain and heavy winds, we were pleased to see so many of you on the stand and taking part in our horse smuggling activities and our competitions (thank you to our corporate supporters for donating some fantastic prizes)! We'd also like to say thank you to everyone who generously donated to our bucket collections throughout the event - we couldn't continue our work without the help of people like you. It was also an honour to talk with Jim Fairlie MSP, Minister for Agriculture and Connectivity, alongside HorseScotland and British Horse Society (The) Scotland, about the importance of equine identification to the health and welfare of Scottish horses, and the need to work with counterparts in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland to introduce an improved system for horse owners across the UK. And lastly, we want to say a huge thank you to the organisers at Defender Blair Castle International Horse Trials for choosing World Horse Welfare as their charity partner for this final year - with almost £12,000 raised through ticket sales, donations and course walks, your generosity will leave a lasting impact in helping improve the lives of horses in the UK and worldwide for years to come 💙 LeMieux | Charles Owen | Devoucoux | Baileys Horse Feeds | Bradley Leatherwork | Hi Ho Silver | Persie Distillery | Emily Cole Illustrations
