Another amazing achievement for us and the WYK Digital team at the Marketing Week awards. We were in the Talent Trailblazer category and were Highly Commended! 🎉 🏆 It's been an unbelievable year for us at WYK and we all know that 2024 has been a tougher year for young people trying to break into the industry. Less jobs with more competition! My heart is full ❤️ 25 young WYKers celebrated their graduation today from their 10-week digital marketing programme with WYK Digital and the Greater London Authority.🎉 I've been fortunate enough to teach them paid social media marketing and give them insights on running social campaigns. They worked really hard and learnt a lot in a very short time. What stood out the most was how easily they set up their Meta campaigns for their clients and created very professional client presentations! I'm incredibly proud of all of them. 🤩 They are now ready to start interviewing for digital marketing roles, so if you're recruiting for this type of role or if you're looking to mentor these young graduates, let me or the WYK Digital team know!   Thank you to the brilliant WYK team Thomas, Ifrah, Olivia-Rose, Rob, Heena, Angelina and Ann-Marie. 🌟 Last month, we reached out to job seekers in Hackney, Camden, Islington, and Tower Hamlets looking to break into digital marketing! 👏 Focused on supporting underrepresented groups — including people from minority ethnic backgrounds — we hosted masterclasses on CVs, LinkedIn, networking, and interview prep. Plus, we worked on personal growth, from confidence-building to organisational skills. 🏆 Special shoutout to WYK Digital’s Head of Progression Thomas Humphreys and Programmatic Tutor Olukayode Ijaola, who led our LIFT programme with incredible energy. Last week, we welcomed 20 learners to our London office for a two-day workshop on starting a career in digital marketing.   Our very own Belinda Sorensen, Teshan Appiah, Sal Quao, and Vimal Amin, Rebecca W., Julie Duvillier shared insights with the group about their own careers – the ups and downs, how to tackle job interviews, and the power of networking. 🤝   The group even got to try their hands at responding to a brief. They worked collaboratively to come up with ideas for a campaign and then had to opportunity to present it back.
