Xact Assessor, Dave Williams has recently completed a charity bike ride of nearly 1000 miles!? We want to offer a huge congratulations to Dave for his awe inspiring achievement. Dave recently shared this update with us: "I did it! A huge thank you to all that sent messages of support and those who sponsored me. My ride in numbers: 9 days; 973.73miles;61,328ft of climbing (over twice the height of Everest); 0 punctures and mechanicals; 2 taped knees and 1 taped right calf. It was an incredible experience to cycle through 3 countries and 23 counties to complete the ride, seeing some absolute stunning sights (especially the Wye Valley and Scotland). There are many tales to tell from along the way, especially Day 5 setting off from Haydock Race Course into Preston rush hour traffic with torrential rain and hail and 40mph gusting winds over Shap Fell – having to pedal to get down wasn’t so much fun. Most of the week was battling rain and headwinds which made it hard work, but the focus of raising money was never far from my mind as I chatted with other riders and became very humbled by their stories. Again, a huge thank you to all who have sponsored me."
