Our friends at Pure Innovations can help you develop skills if you have a learning disability and/or autism, live in the Manchester City Council area and are aged 17 years and 6 months or older. Support includes Group and 1:1 sessions on the following topics: + Employability skills, self development and health and wellbeing. + Accessing your community and belonging and relationships and social development. + Digital skills and e-safety, travelling safely and budgeting skills. 👏 Well done Kate! 👏 Kate came to YES looking for a meaningful, permanent job in healthcare after being on zero-hours contracts for five years. We initially supported her by providing advice on welfare she was entitled to as her hours were so precarious, but, not long after doing so, we managed to help her secure that golden opportunity: a permanent, full-time job. We managed to do this by devising an action plan and supporting Kate through CV, digital and application assistance. Not long after she got a call asking her to attend an interview, she was offered that full-time, permanent role. Kate immediately felt a sense of relief at securing not only something more meaningful, but also a position in the healthcare field, meaning she could continue her career. 👷👷♂️We were so pleased to be part of the Construction Academy launch in Collyhurst next to the YES offices this week. 👷♂️ 👷 The scheme will see learners take on a 4-week study programme with the aim of securing employment afterwards. We are looking for anyone in the local area who may be interested in construction and its adjoining fields such as plastering, joinery and painting/decorating. As well as this, you must be at least 19 years old, unemployed and resident in the UK for at least three years. Not only will you learn valuable skills on a course designed to get you up to speed on all things construction, but you could also benefit from access to the CSCS Card.
