Last week we attended a beautiful event hosted by yhangry and Holiday Cottage Handbook with incredible food by MasterChef Abhilasha Chandak ✨ A fabulous evening in celebration of Diwali, full of interesting conversation and fantastic food. Thank you for having us ❤️

[Founders, this is one for you 👀] Last Sat I wondered if I have ADHD (aka a superpower ⚡️) … and I booked an IRL test for next day 🤣 Turns out I do And probably what makes me a good yhangry 👩🍳 founder! This is wild though.. Firstly because apparently other people around me “knew” 👀 And also because I’ve always used the word ADHD very losely, but listening to the key identifying traits (and watching insta reels ofcourse), I realised I understand my own OS more! For example: 👉 how I can work 10x faster and hyper focus and then tend to feel burned out 👉People can call me a genius but also an idiot when I can’t do some basic things 👉 How I have 10000000 ideas at all times and tend to want to say yes to all 👉 That I’m so restless that I find it hard to focus or calm my mind 👉 That relationships feel harder as my emotions at feeling misunderstood can be super intense 👉 Or my attention span is short, so I want everything to be punchy or funny else I lose interest. I crack loads of jokes. 👉 Why I’ve always been called disruptive, managed to miss every Columbia AI lecture back in uni 👉 Or why I have loved posting on LinkedIn and iterating recently (the notifications are a huge dopamine for my dopamine deprived brain) Now that I know this, I decide to make changes THIS WEEK: ⭐️ I took an investor call in the park in the sun paying with my park friend bongo 🐶 ⭐️ I took a second investor call while having a candle and meditation music on in my lounge🧘♀️ (he invested on the spot ;)) ⭐️ I continued to go to the park every morning to read a book and calm my brain ⭐️ I bought a weighted blanket for when I want to relax and do nothing ⭐️ I now keep my phone outside my room and sleep at night: can’t accidentally check it at night! PS: still *impatiently* waiting for my score and the full assessment 😏 Overall assessment, ADHD is still is my superpower 🦹♀️… bonus: I can stop feeling guilty about misplacing objects! #startups #entrepreneurship #adhd #founders
