"AT 72, I'VE HAD 22 YEARS MORE JOYFUL LIFE than the average age of the five friends I run in memory of for Macmillan Cancer Support It's three weeks until my 10th consecutive Great North Run (half marathon) and 38 weeks until my 5th and final marathon, the London Marathon. My first of twenty-four charity half marathons was at 62, and my first marathon was at 64.
