Inspiring young people from Schools, Universities & Communities across NI to own their future success in life & work...
About us
Young Enterprise is Northern Ireland’s foremost business and enterprise education charity, and a member of the Junior Achievement Worldwide network, the world’s largest and fastest growing business and economic education organisation, reaching over 8 million young people worldwide. Founded in 1986, the organisation runs over 13 core programmes for more than 100,000 young people each year in Northern Ireland through the support of businesses and volunteers. Its mission is ‘to inspire and equip young people to learn and succeed through enterprise.’ All Young Enterprise programmes are based on the principle of ‘learning by doing’, to promote a culture of enterprise from an early age. Many of these complement existing education programmes by offering specific curriculum links.

Great to see this focus on carbon reduction from our alumni Stephen Henderson - it is clear that the new generation of YE business leaders understand how to create businesses that are both commercially successful and sustainable for the economy. A great role model for students at school to learn from.

A HUGE thank you to Assumption Grammar School for having me in last week to run the Quick Start programme with their Year 9s. This is an entrepreneurship journey that will allow these students to develop their soft skills in so many different ways without forgetting that life and learning is supposed to be fun. I'm looking forward to seeing some of their final products! The tea and scone at break time was just the icing on the cake... 🤩 #YoungEnterpriseNI #entrepreneurship

We are deeply concerned to hear about the potential closure of Young Enterprise Scotland, an independent charity that has provided life-changing financial and enterprise education to over 18,000 young people across Scotland this year. Whilst, Young Enterprise Scotland operates as a charity independent of Young Enterprise NI, we share their commitment to ensuring financial and enterprise education remains accessible to all. We fully support their mission and recognise the immense impact they’ve had on schools, students, and communities in Scotland. It is our sincere hope that a solution can be found to ensure their life changing work across Scotland continues.
Our position in the third sector is under an unprecedented amount of pressure following the news that we will no longer be receiving financial support from the Scottish Government. Find out what this means for our charity operations, and our ability to support young people throughout Scotland. https://bit.ly/3YmC8tJ
