Thank you to Bristol24/7 for this piece... 🙏 Their feature focuses on our #ReimaginingParks campaign, specifically Hartcliffe Millennium Green becoming more inclusive and accessible for Disabled people & carers. This is a wonderful project as it shows how when we work together we can get more done for local people. Through the campaign, we partnered with local Disabled people, the Friends of Hartcliffe Millennium Green, Sensory Trust, Carers Support BSG, Bristol Disability Equality Commission and Bristol City Council, resulting in a £95,000 investment in the park 🥳 A huge thank you our partners, we can't wait to get the sensory bed planted this month 💚 https://buff.ly/WmbRAxv

Focus on making space for girls at Brickfields Park! 👀 We're #ReimaginingParks to create spaces that are accessible, safe, and welcoming for everyone – especially women and girls! 👯♀️ Through our partnership with local young people, Make Space for Girls, Hayesfield Girls' School and Mixed Sixth Form and Bath & North East Somerset Council we've made huge strides with new seating areas, swings and somersault bars! 🥳 Check out girls from Hayesfield School, having a blast on the new kit... ❤️ https://buff.ly/czwkfJd #CommunitySpaces #InclusiveParks #MakeSpaceForGirls #LoveYourPark

Last year we committed to work with local communities to #ReimagineParks so that the 1 in 5 who are currently excluded, can enjoy and benefit from them. Thanks to you, we've made huge progress! 🥳 Disabled people, carers and women and girls are among the groups least likely to use parks and we've been working hard, with these groups and our partners, to create two exemplar parks that showcase what can be done 👀 Now, we're over the moon to share the results. We want to say a big thank you to you and all our partners for your support - this would not have happened without you 😍 https://buff.ly/GJIqNoQ Make Space for Girls Hayesfield Girls' School and Mixed Sixth Form Bath & North East Somerset Council Stride Treglown Friends of Hartcliffe Millennium Green, Bristol Disability Equality CommissionCarers Support BSG Bristol City Council Sensory Trust

On 28 Feb 2020, Greta Thunburg stood on College Green among thousands of young campaigners calling for climate action 🙎♀️ It rained, and when the lawns appeared damaged, a crowdfund was set up to repair them raising £20,500 in just 48 hours. We became the custodians of that fund. 💚 Five years on, thousands of flowers now live in the protesters footsteps along with all the creatures that call them home 🌹 🌼 🐞 🐝 Since creating the habitats in 2021, we have worked with Hargreaves Lansdown and Avon Wildlife Trust to carefully curate the meadows - scything, planting & seeding - to have the biggest impact for nature. 🤝 To celebrate five years, this summer we're going to survey the area to see just how much urban nature Greta's legacy is supporting... It's still very cold and pretty grey and the long winter can take it's toll on our mental health. 😔 Wrapping up warm and getting out into the daylight, socialising and moving are some of the best things you can do to help your mood. Our Roots to Wellbeing sessions take place every week in five parks across Bristol & Bath. We support people to get out there, connect with each other and with nature, all for free. 💚 If you or someone you know could benefit, get in touch! https://buff.ly/3EIttM0
