Are we victims of a supplement scam? 🤔 In 2023, the UK supplements industry was valued at £568million and around half of Brits take them. In writing for Fabulous Magazine, Cassie Powney delved which supplements ACTUALLY work and what to be wary of... ❓In quoting the Zooki Webinar 'Why Most Supplements Don't Work' and our founder Jack Morrison's warnings, Cassie noted how brands often shout about having the highest dose of turmeric, but disregard how much curcumin (the active ingredient of turmeric) is present. ⁠ ❌ Cassie also warns of fillers, quoting Zooki's Head of Nutrition Sarah Carolides: “Many supplements include emulsifiers or additives alongside their actual nutrients, but it’s worth learning about some of the worst offenders, such as aspartame, titanium dioxide and magnesium stearate”. ✅ So, which supplements actually DO work?
