We have been working on a short & long-term strategy to generate new sponsorship revenue in non-endemic companies in geographical markets that align with the behavior and needs within their marketing footprint. Take, for example, the mining industry. According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), key mining states in the U.S. include Nevada, Arizona, Texas, and California... For rights holders operating in these states, the key to successful partnerships lies in understanding and breaking down the supply chain of the mining industry (Exploration, Development, Extraction, Processing, Logistics/Transportation, Sales, End-Use, & Recycling/Disposal), thereby becoming a problem solver for brands in the mining industry. Here's how rights holders can create value internally and externally: - Identify Key Internal Needs for internal stakeholders - Pinpoint Key External Needs for revenue production - Leverage Local Expertise to learn the industry - Build Trust & Value with multiple stakeholders in the organization - Create solutions that solve various problems for the brand When done correctly, these partnerships can drive significant value for brands in the mining industry (and throughout the supply chain) and for the rights holder (bringing people to games/events, being a good community partner, etc). We got +100 NPS for our recent SaaStock Founder Membership (SFM) retreat. Based on feedback and on reflection, here are a few reasons why: 1. Magic 🪄: We sourced a magical location in the Agafay Desert, Les Terrasses D'Agafay. It created the base for the first wow moment. Also as we were in the middle of the desert, it kept the group together (as no one could leave). 2. Grounding ⛺️: Glamping instead of 5* resorts. Kind of an unexpected one but a good learning. The previous retreats had been in 5* resorts which we could go to any time on holiday with family/friends. Glamping I think resulted in us feeling a bit more grounded which helped with the openness and transparency of the group. 3. Fire 🔥: We had a campfire which every evening created a central space for us to congregate and we ran roundtable discussions for the whole group with a level of transparency not seen before. 4: Ice 🧊: We broke the Ice the night before the retreat started with a dinner in Marrakech. Allowed everyone to connect and familiarise if they were new to the group. 5. Space 🛸: The agenda allowed for lots of space for people to just talk and relax 6: Power of 40 🔋: Not that one, but we cap the size at 40 people. Just the right amount for everyone to connect and bond. With this, i think we found the recipe for the perfect Founder retreat. It's the end of B2B SaaS week in Paris. I enjoyed it from the 1st minute to the last one. Here is why: 1. Knowledge🧑‍🎓: I got many learnings from other CEOs of B2B SaaS and investors. It's really hard to find the right GTM strategy as a SaaS company. Here I learned from 50 others CEOs in only 2 days. 2. Network 🚀: I met many high quality people (see list below) and some already made great introductions to develop our business further. I know I got some personal connections that I would never had if I had an online meeting with them. 3. Clients/partners 👋: we met some of our customers, prospects and potential business partners 4. Energy 🔥: it gives so much energy to meet other entrepreneurs that have their ups and downs. A few people to mention 1. Those 2 ex A-players from Swile grew their agency at an impressive pace the last 12 months. Great energy and we immediately started a partnership. 5. Andreï Sochala VP Growth at Aircall and Deidre Hudson: reminded the importance to think like your buyers and not as a seller. It's more crucial than ever. 6. Stan Massueras ex-VP growth at Intercom: what an energy! I’m also looking forward to our meeting next week. Btw, I’m now considering visiting Dublin, you intrigued me. 7. Bertrand Gaté the magician: we spent such a good moment with you on the boat, next to the Eiffel Tower. Vincent is still in shock. Me too to be honest :D Thank you again for this memorable moment. 8. Tech support team: "While I appreciate your understanding, I want to reaffirm that for any override of this limitation, it's vital to collaborate with our Sales team." Sales team: "I can understand the frustration you are experiencing. To clarify, the support team are the individuals that we need to reach out to. Regarding Stripe Connect in the UAE, to have direct access to Connect Express you need to have this limitation for UAE overridden, and we need to reach out to our support team." This is a really bad support experience, where two supporting Stripe teams (Sales and Tech support) have been pointing to each other for two full months. The above is only one instance of many. The project is in full stop during this back and forth. The client is not happy. We are not happy. Stripe has no traffic from a potentially big project. Stripe was chosen because it was stated explicitly on the documentation page https://lnkd.in/d4dvAeRT that Connect and Express Dashboard features are allowed for our separate charges and transfers use case, with no caveats. We still don't know what needs to be done from our end if there are some hidden rules of engagement here. Also, if Stripe cannot provide for this, I urge them to amend the above-linked documentation page with factual statements. We have many workarounds to do to accommodate the lack of Connect and Express Dashboard services in that case. It's a shame that it is not uncommon for a great product to be shadowed with support experience.
