JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Debt & Structured Finance Analyst will focus primarily on debt financing for commercial real estate transactions. The candidate will gain broad exposure to all transaction phases including underwriting & financial modeling, market research, preparation of financing materials, lender discussions, term sheet negotiations, and the deal closing process. The candidate should be hard working, detail oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Prepare and review transaction-related documents and presentations, including teasers, financing memorandums, lender presentations, pitch materials, and term sheets
  • Create financial models and valuation analyses for commercial real estate transactions used to evaluate, structure and market transactions
  • Conduct market, company, or industry research
  • Must understand and review real estate documents (leases, loan documents, appraisals, etc.)
  • Ability to manage the due diligence process; assess, track and facilitate information requests
  • Participate in weekly office meetings with the team to discuss deal flow, deal status, and market conditions


SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 1-3 years’ experience in a financial analysis role within commercial real estate, finance or lending
  • Bachelor’s degree or MBA
  • Strong knowledge of Argus and Excel
  • High-level understating of debt concepts such as LTV, Debt Yield, DSCR
  • PowerPoint
  • Strong writing skills
  • Demonstrated research ability
  • Knowledge of CoStar, LoopNet, Real Estate Capital Analytics and other real estate data sources is a plus
  • Knowledge of loan documents and terminology
