About The Role

Travtus are looking for our first dedicated QA hire who will be setting up systems and processes whilst leading and executing test plans. You will need to be comfortable working as a solo QA within our Engineering team, whilst being self-motivated and confident in your ability to define and communicate your plans.

As a Lead QA Engineer, the core of your role is building test plans, and executing them. These will include manual tests, unit, regression, and load tests, finding bugs and setting up automated tests whilst working with the product, technology and data teams to resolve issues efficiently.

You should love collaborating with teammates on new products, making and executing robust tests to maintain expectations, and improving the Travtus product suite across the US Multifamily industry.

Typical Tasks

  • Creating and executing test plans, scenarios, scripts or procedures.
  • Introducing test practices, processes and tools to the team.
  • Test system modifications to prepare for implementation.
  • Develop testing programs that address areas such as data impact, software scenarios, or usability.
  • Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers.
  • Identify, analyze and document problems with program function, output, online screen or content.
  • Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes.
  • Create or maintain databases of known test defects.
  • Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates

Must-have Requirements

  • Manual and automated software testing (ideally with Python scripts)
  • Creating and executing test plans
  • Set up and led a QA function
  • Working with multiple teams (Product, Engineering, Data)
  • Professional-level communication skills in English (oral and written)

Nice-to-have Requirements

  • Tech startup experience
  • Contract testing (for microservices)
  • Real Estate industry experience
