Position Overview: I am seeking a skilled and proactive Interim Management Accountant to join our client's finance team. In this key role, you will be responsible for preparing, analysing, and reporting financial information to assist management in making well-informed business decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in management accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate financial insights effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Analyse financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Manage billing and invoicing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Oversee credit control functions, including monitoring accounts receivable and managing collections.
  • Monitor and control operational expenditures, highlighting areas for cost optimization.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning and performance evaluation.
  • Conduct variance analysis and explain key drivers of financial results to management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Support the implementation and enhancement of financial systems and processes.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports for external stakeholders, including auditors and regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

Qualifications

  • Worked / Trained within a Big 4 Accounting Firm
  • 2-3 Years experience within a Management Accountant role
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial information clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience in billing and credit control processes is highly desirable.
