We are looking for an incredibly driven and ambitious engineer to supercharge our London-based project development team at Fuse. You will be part of a lean, high intensity team, and get direct exposure to high performers coming from Revolut, Tesla, Citadel, & Jump Trading.
Fuse's mission is to build a terawatt of renewables to power the world. We've raised $78m from top tier investors like Balderton, Lakestar, Accel, Creandum, Lowercarbon, and Ribbit. Fuse's founders are Alan Chang, ex-CRO of Revolut, and Charles Orr, who led strategy at Revolut and was an investor at Mosaic Ventures.
Responsibilities
This role will be working across the core project engineering development team, as we look to build and operate renewable energy generation - in particular large scale ground mount solar. There will also be opportunities to work on the commercial and strategic side of the business, in particular M&A and scaling new business lines. A key focus will be on adaptability and the ability to apply your engineering background to new problems. We are looking to hire both experienced and graduate engineers and have multiple positions open.
Some of the tasks you will be working on:
Grid scoping and deep diving distribution and transmission infrastructure
Design and yield assessment work for large scale ground mount solar (PVSyst, SLDs, etc)
Asset management of our existing fleet of renewable generators
Own development projects during entire lifecycle
Financial modelling of new development projects as well as M&A targets
Technical due diligence work
Supplier and contractor management
Generation strategy work i.e. what to build & where
Requirements
Electrical engineering degree (bachelors or higher) from a top university
2+ years experience OR 0 - 2 years experience for graduate stream
Track record of exceptional achievement
Relentless approach to solving problems
Comfortable learning quickly and iterating
Ability to work well individually or in a team
London-based or willing to relocate
