Role purpose

We require an ambitious senior sales professional to join our team covering the North of the UK. The  successful candidate will focus hitting our monthly and annual revenue targets by managing existing client relationships, identifying and making new relationships and increasing revenue whilst and gaining the experience necessary to potentially transition into the Sales Director role.

Key responsibilities

Sales Performance:

  • Actively engage in sales activities to meet or exceed individual and team sales targets and KPI’s. This includes prospecting, lead generation, client meetings, CRM maintenance and closing deals.


 Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with current and new clients, ensuring their needs are met and fostering loyalty and ensuring relationship records are maintained. Refresh lapsed relationships.


 Partner Relationship Management:

  • Understand and build on our relationship with our partners and 3rd parties where mutual collaboration has allowed for a growth in business for all. Identify and foster new partner relationships.


 Sales Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions in the CRM system. Prepare reports on sales metrics, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.


 Marketing Support.

  • Manage and attend exhibitions, events, etc to promote business and services and develop new relationships. Feedback to Marketing teams on industry changes, competitor marketing etc to support the marketing plans.


 Personal Marketing

  • Maintain and promote a presence on social media to highlight company services and projects building a strong list of connections.


 Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with the sales and marketing team and the heads of depts to ensure alignment between individual sales efforts and broader company objectives and targets.


 Market Research:

  • Build your knowledge and stay informed about industry developments, competitor activities, and emerging market trends. Use this knowledge to identify new sales opportunities and areas for market expansion.


 Professional Development:

  • Continuously improve sales skills and industry knowledge. Seek out mentorship opportunities and participate in training programs to prepare for a future leadership role.


 Leadership Preparation:

  • Actively participate in projects and initiatives that provide exposure to the responsibilities of a Sales Director. Shadow the current Sales Director and participate in leadership meetings to understand the strategic aspects of the role. Understand and follow company policy and procedures.

 What do we need from you?


Sales Expertise and Results Orientation

·       Demonstrable sales expertise and track record of success from a senior B2B role.

·       Ability to provide a consultative sales approach by identifying need and partnering with a wide range  of services.

·       Ideally experience in working with Estates, Facilities and Capital teams of large property portfolios. (Healthcare, Education, Retail, Hotel, Housing, etc)

·       Deep understanding of sales strategies, market dynamics, and customer relationship management (CRM) practices.

·       Skilled in identifying new business opportunities, expanding into new markets, and building strong customer relationships.

·       Experience in driving revenue growth.


Communication, Negotiation and Networking Skills

·       Strong ability to communicate with various stakeholders, including senior leadership, clients, and partners.

·       Expertise in negotiating complex deals and closing high-value contracts.

·       Capable of delivering impactful presentations to both internal teams and external clients.

·       Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and other stakeholders.

·       Proficiency with CRM systems (Zoho) to track sales activities, manage customer relationships, and analyse data.

It is intended that the role will develop into that of our Sales Director, therefore you should have the personal attributes to grow in that more senior position. Transitioning to a director role requires a blend of leadership, strategic thinking, and a deeper understanding of the broader business landscape. The ability to evolve from an individual contributor or tactical leader to a strategic leader is the key differentiator. The company will provide support and training to help you though this transition and you will need to demonstrate the following attributes prior to the transition:
