Join Our Team as a Sustainability & Social Value Manager!

Are you passionate about sustainability and making a positive impact? Mitie is looking for a talented and motivated Sustainability & Social Value Manager to join our dynamic team. In this key role, you'll help shape and implement our Social Value Framework, ensuring we meet our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) targets.

As a first-level manager, you'll play a key role in embedding sustainability and social value throughout our business. You will lead submissions to external rating agencies and build strong relationships with key stakeholders. You'll also support bid proposals, collaborate on award submissions, create engaging communications, mentor apprentices, and assist the Group Director of Sustainability with strategic tasks.

Main Duties

• Lead and manage ESG initiatives, including working groups and reporting.
• Co-chair Social Value Group and drive new initiatives.
• Oversee annual ESG and Social Value reports.
• Communicate updates to senior stakeholders and manage CDP submissions.
• Calculate Scope 3 supply chain emissions with Procurement.
• Implement Thrive platform for social value measurement.
• Run annual commuting survey and engage suppliers on sustainability.
• Mentor junior team members and support strategic tasks for the Group Director of Sustainability.
• Seek personal development and career growth opportunities.
  
  

What We're Looking For

• Essential: Experience in sustainability, ESG reporting, and carbon footprint management. Strong presentation and communication skills. Ability to collaborate across teams.
• Desirable: Relevant qualifications and prior experience in sustainability or social value roles. Willingness to travel.
