Last Friday, we had the opportunity to take part in the first Dive In Festival Careers Conference. As a global festival partner, we joined industry professionals to engage with future talent and showcase exciting career opportunities in the insurance market. It was inspiring to see so many enthusiastic students exploring roles from underwriting to risk analysis and everything in between. Our team enjoyed connecting with attendees, answering questions, and sharing insights on what it’s like to build a career in this dynamic industry. We’re thrilled to share the success of our inaugural Dive In Careers Conference held last week 🌟 The turnout was incredible with around 500 attendees from Lloyd’s charity partners, including social mobility charities, and queues outside the door! Our Speakers Corner and exhibitor stands were bustling with activity, and we have received lots of positive feedback from both students and exhibitors. A huge thank you to everyone involved in making this event a success. We can’t wait to build on this momentum for future conferences! 🚀 #EarlyCareers #NewTalent #Networking #DiverseTalent #FutureLeaders #DiversityandInclusion #CareersConference

In recognition of #BlackHistoryMonth, we're looking back on a Dive In 2024 virtual event titled Reinvigorating Race. It was an inspiring space where thought leaders, advocates, and allies came together to discuss the complexities of race and what it means to push forward toward equity and inclusion within the Insurance industry including: 🔹 How the momentum of racial inclusion efforts from companies seems to have slowed and what can be done to re-engage colleagues on this topic. 🔹 Empowering diverse voices within organisations and encouraging people at all levels to get comfortable with having uncomfortable conversations. 🔹 Addressing the issues with retaining black and ethnic minority talent within the market and the importance of allyship. Missed it first time round? You can now access the recording via the Dive In Festival Event Platform: https://lnkd.in/dGaZEVKs #BlackHistoryMonth #DiversityAndInclusion #RacialEquity #Allyship

After an incredible 10 years as Chair of Inclusion@Lloyd's, the initiative behind the Dive In Festival, where he championed culture transformation across our market, we are sad to see Dominic Christian stepping down, but we're delighted to introduce Nick Line, Chief Underwriting Officer at Markel International, to the role! Nick has been heavily involved in Dive In over the years and we are looking forward to continuing the journey with him, as well as the great influence he will bring to the position. Welcome to the team Nick! #DiveIn2024 #NewRole #SustainableFuture
We're delighted to announce that Nick Line, our Chief Underwriting Officer, will be assuming the role of Chair of Inclusion@Lloyd's, commencing next year. Nick will be taking on this role following Dominic Christian's decision to step away after 10 influential years in this position. Chair of Lloyd's, Bruce Carnegie-Brown, announced this update at the closing ceremony of the Dive In Festival last week, saying: "After 10 years overseeing the growth of Dive In, championing culture transformation across our market, [Dominic has] decided to step down from Chair and pass on the baton." We'd like to thank Dominic for his significant contribution to making the market a more diverse and inclusive place to work during the past decade, and to wish Nick the best of luck in his upcoming position. #InclusionAtLloyds #DiversityAndInclusion #WeAreMarkel
