To mark Restart a Heart Day 2024 Jessica Kennedy, a member of our Regulatory team, delivered a training session to our office explaining the importance of early CPR in cardiac arrest scenarios, and gave us a defibrillator (AED) demonstration. Restart a Heart (RSAH) is an annual initiative led by Resuscitation Council UK which aims to increase the number of people surviving out of hospital cardiac arrests. In her spare time Jess volunteers for St John Ambulance and decided to put her training to use to help others gain the confidence and knowledge to act when faced with a situation we all hope never comes, but where every second truly counts.

We were delighted to kick off our Black History month celebrations with the launch of our Belfast International Network. Our first event was the live screening from our London office of a talk and Q&A with the inspirational Baroness Floella Benjamin DBE. Catering was provided by the delicious Mama Bobo, giving us a taste of a selection of Nigerian dishes. (Big thanks to Hammy Obikoya!) A fantastic way to kick off our new network, with lots of other plans in the pipeline for the months ahead!

We were delighted to welcome a group of our graduate LP supervisors to the Fieldfisher Belfast Hub this week. Thanks so much to Vanessa Wilkinson, Kirstie Chambers, Andrew Patten, Rachel Morgan and Natasha Rayner for travelling over from London and Manchester. A great opportunity for relationship building, providing training to our graduate LPs and seeing first hand the fantastic culture our Belfast office prides itself on. And of course to sample the local culinary and libationary specialities!

Big thanks to everyone who supported our inaugural Fieldfisher Belfast Hub Golf Day at Donaghadee Golf Club. Thankfully the rained stayed away and great fun was had by all before enjoying a post-game meal and some golfing awards and raffle prizes. Even better, we raised a whopping £555 for Cancer Fund for Children. All in all a super event.
