And we’ve reached the finish line… 🏁!!! Module I of KPMG's first Global M&A Leadership Program #BeyondTheDeal was successfully delivered this week at our Ignition Centre in London. It’s been a special few days getting to know the FY24 cohort of 25 senior dealmakers from across the M&A market, and see them build powerful connections with each other and our Faculty. I shared in my opening remarks that whilst leadership can be exciting, it can also be lonely; now more than ever in the complex world we are all navigating. When everyone in the room is looking to you for direction and inspiration, you need to feel equipped with not just the technical but the softer skills to navigate this change. We brought together a group of diverse leaders from across multiple sectors, geographies, backgrounds and experiences, to embrace leadership development and build an external network to call on when an additional sounding board might unlock or accelerate the pace of change they are looking to drive. Together we explored how we unlock value and lead the future of dealmaking by hearing from an array of talented, relevant and highly impactful speakers, with a common thread being ‘the human element’ of leadership . I wanted to say a huge thank you to each of them as they not only shared their insights around #AI, #ESG, dealing with complexities through to dynamic strategies… but also inspired our next-gen #M&A leaders to face into the future of #dealmaking in a more confident and inspiring way. Lucinda Guthrie | Bernie Collins | Richard Reed | Scott Moeller | Eero Vaara | Kevin Fong | Eleanor Winton | Alex Edmans | Javier Jimenez Labrado I can’t wait to bring this group together again in Chicago in the springtime for Module II. Thanks also to our brilliant Faculty … all rock stars and people I have personally worked with for many years, who developed, delivered and shaped the content, alongside our wonderful KPMG UK Ignition team, to deliver such an incredible programme.
