Reimagining Urban Spaces: join us for Birmingham's first Park(ing) Day! 🚗➡️🌳 Park(ing) Day is a global movement that transforms ordinary parking spaces into vibrant, multifunctional areas, promoting community well-being and environmental sustainability. What started in 2005 with a small San Francisco studio turning a single parking spot into a mini park has since become a worldwide celebration of urban creativity and green spaces. This year, Define is taking part in Birmingham’s first Park(ing) Day on Friday, 20th of September! Thanks to our collaborators, we’re bringing our vision to life by installing a temporary parklet outside The Jointworks in the Jewellery Quarter, located at 45 Frederick St. Stop by, grab a coffee, connect with friends or colleagues, and relax in this refreshing public and urban green space. Let’s show how even the smallest of urban spaces can spark joy and community connections. A big thanks to our collaborators: The Jointworks, Landmark, Jewellery Quarter Business Improvement District, Whiting Landscape Limited and grounded. Birmingham! #parkingday #urbangreenspace #birmingham #community #sustainability #jewelleryquarter #urbandesign #landscapearchitecture

For the past 24 months, The Jointworks Albion Street provided Switch with the perfect environment to think, create and deliver.   But we decided it was time to move.   To the new The Jointworks Frederick Street, just around the corner! Same creative community, ethos and vibe but an even better space for the Switch team to do our thing.    Visit our website www.weareswitch.com Or drop us an email get.turnedon@wearswitch.com

The Anti 'Quick Fix' Copywriter for Technical Brands

First day in The Jointworks at their brand-new digs on 45 Fredrick St. in the #JewelleryQuarter here in Brum. And sure, we're still getting things unpacked, but this is a gorgeous place to work and a fine example of the fertile ground we have in our city for creativity. You come here because you want to work alongside amazing people in creative work or tech. You stay here because you'll never find a more supportive community than a group of Brummies in an office discussing the merits of parallax scrolling on a website. And they've got really bangin coffee from the good people over at Quarter Horse Coffee Roasters. --- I'm Andrew, a copywriter and caffeine fiend. I want to meet and write for more brilliant Birmingham businesses. Fancy a coffee in the new office? Drop me a DM. #coworking #birmingham #creative

Partner at AMP Structures and Hessleby Homes

I love the Jewellery Quarter! For the last 6 months or so AMP Structures Midlands have been based out of the The Jointworks in #Brum and I love it. But this morning I came to their new location in Fredrick St. I was worried it wouldnt have that awesome #Victorian #Warehouse style like the old place.... but fear not! Exposed brickwork and crittall windows for days!!! Come say #Hello if you're nearby!! #ShabbySheek

Facilitator designing custom workshops for teams who value each other and their time together to focus on strategy.

What's new about the courses I am running in September and October? Not least 2 new great venues!! I am delivering a new version of "How to run productive meetings and workshops" in London and Birmingham: ⏰ 10am to 4pm 📆 London - 24 September 📍 Camley Street Natural Park (King's Cross) 📆 Birmingham - 3 October 📍 The Jointworks (Jewellery Quarter) I am using the same structure to unpack 1. Why meetings and workshops go wrong 2. How to structure the (I used this to design the course) to your meetings and workshops However, based on feedback I am adding in more time to: - Define the meetings and workshops this works best for - Explore your key challenges - Network with other attendees - Apply the template Refreshments and lunch are provided and there is an EARLY BIRD discount until 20 June. Use the coupon code LONGEST DAY to get £100 off the usual price. If you are a The Jointworks member you will be sent a better code for even more off a ticket soon (keep an eye on your internal communications).

Thanks to my friend Catherine Gwynne for the heads up on the space, which she helped create!

Back once again with renegade master Luke Tonge on Friday 19th April for another Friday Feedback. Have loved doing these sessions so really pleased to be going again. As usual, we’re at The Jointworks for pep talks, interview prep, portfolio reviews, help with projects you’re stuck with, career advice (what not to do in my case) or anything else we haven’t thought of. Sessions are open to individuals or groups, groups and you can see us individually or together - just let us know when you book and book matching sessions with Keith and Luke if you want to speak to both of us. It’s really helpful if you can give us an idea of what you’d like to talk about in advance and a link where we can see some of your work. We’re both pretty hectic as usual and we’re giving up our time for free, so if you book a session but can’t attend let us know so we can make it available to someone else. The brilliant Tracey Parker from Beyond The Book is with us again for this one, with drop in career advice sessions all day. Book with Keith: bit.ly/book_keith_ff5 Book with Luke: bit.ly/book_luke_ff5 Also, there's an amazing lineup at BDF Gather the night before. Think there are still some tickets if you hurry. t.co/KewkKHNAIk
