𝗦𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗺𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗽𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿𝘀 With the 1st of April 2025 fast approaching, Councils have started to issue Business Rate and Council Tax demands for the 2025-26 financial year. Ratepayers need to be aware that there have been some significant changes for the 2025/26 financial year, including the increase of the multiplier and the City of London Supplement which brings the % payable to just shy of 60% in the £ for properties with an RV of £75,000 located within the City of London. This coupled with the reduction in Retail, Hospitality and Leisure Relief from 75% to 40% with effect from 1st April 2026 will see a significant increase in rates payable for certain ratepayers.
